Splashy Apps is a small breeding farm dedicated
to raising quality Appaloosa horses with good dispositions, athletic
abilities, intelligence and color. Located in southern Michigan,
we are 16 miles from I-94
(Battle Creek) and 40 miles from the intersection of I-69
and I-90 (Indiana
Toll Road) making us easily accessible.
At Splashy Apps, we are
offering Foundation Appaloosas. Tobys Black Lightnin
(Splash) is our black and white snowcap stallion who has strong Toby,
Red Eagle and Quanah bloodlines. In addition to bright color,
Splash has also produced foals demonstrating the Indian Shuffle when
bred to foundation mares. His foals are imprinted at birth,
which only enhances their friendly dispositions. They all have
good bone, good feet and great confirmation.
We also have a few spot
leopard stallion, SWR Pride of Dawn (Amigo). He is a 100% color
producer (2009 few spot colt) and has produced foals that exhibit the
Indian shuffle. His bloodlines include Colida and Red Plaudit.
Our own mares come from a
variety of foundation lines including Toby, Red Eagle, Money Creek, Blue
Bear x Bear Step, Chief Joseph and Patchy F416.
For 2010 we will collect
and ship semen for artificial insemination by your vet. We also
accept bookings for outside mares (live cover).
I (Pat) have owned and
ridden horses since my youth. My interest in Appaloosas began with
a Money Creek mare named Sandy. The exceptional talent and
intelligence of this horse was nothing less than inspiring. Since
then, I have had the opportunity to ride and own other wonderful Apps
and now can offer the special horses and personalized service of a small
breeding facility.
My husband Dale and I have
owned Appaloosas for over 25 years and began the breeding farm in 1996.
The heart and versatility of the Appaloosa, as well as the heritage, is
very important to us.
